Radisphere is a radiology group that uses proprietary reporting software with checklists that eliminate opportunities for error.
Checklists have long been used in other industries, such as aviation, to ensure important steps aren’t skipped in processes that are voluminous and complex. Radisphere has taken that approach and applied it to the practice of radiology.
Imaging studies are ordered for a reason – to get an answer to a specific question –but the radiologist must not neglect to look for other findings as well. With this in mind, Radisphere reviewed over 400 studies and over 13,000 procedural variations to isolate the radiology issues that are most often overlooked. The result is that Radisphere radiologists are aided by a “checklist” for certain types of studies which provides a thorough inspection of all pathology. This ensures comprehensive, accurate and conclusive reports.
Radisphere continues to refine this checklist based on new studies to ensure every Radisphere report is as thorough and accurate as possible. In addition, this checklist format for reporting conforms to the ACR Practice Guideline For Communication Of Diagnostic Imaging Findings and is consistent with RSNA Informatics Reporting.
