Privacy Notice to Patients

Our Policy

Radisphere is a covered entity under HIPAA and has established the necessary controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of your protected health information (PHI). As the exclusive provider of radiology for community hospitals, Radisphere’s services are clinically integrated with the rest of the services that patients receive in the hospital and we share PHI with your hospital provider to effectively manage patient care.

Because Radisphere and the hospital where you receive our services are both covered entities under HIPAA, and because we are clinically and operationally integrated, our entities fit into the definition of an Organized Health Care Arrangement (“OHCA”) under HIPAA. As permissible under the HIPAA regulations governing OHCAs Radisphere patients receive a joint notice of privacy practices directly from the hospital where radiology services were rendered.
